Prof. dr. Jovanovic is a prominent scholar and public figure. He started his academic career immediately after graduating from the Faculty of Political Science in Belgrade (1976). He holds a PhD in Organizational Sciences Management. Until 1989, he worked at the University of Belgrade, and then founded the Megatrend Business School – the embryo of a future University, which today has 12 faculties with forty accredited study programs. Jovanovic has published nineteen books and one hundred scientific and professional papers. In the previous period he had already been elected Rector of Megatrend University. He is the holder of several international and national decorations and recognitions.

Professor Mi\u0107a Jovanovi\u0107, Rector of Megatrend University was on a one-day visit to the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovations of France. He was received at the Ministry by Minister Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rique Vidal and the President of the University Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne Georges Haddad. In the conversation that lasted more than one hour, the reputation of Megatrend University in France was emphasised and the cooperation between our University and Sorbonne University was initiated.

Professor Jovanovi\u0107 spoke of the successful multi-decade cooperation of Megatrend University and French higher education institutions, such as the Grenoble School of Management and SKEMA Business School from Nice (Sophia Antipolis). He also mentioned that the reputable professor Jean-Jacques Chanaron has been teaching at Megatrend for almost thirty years, along with professor sIgor and Grichka Bogdanov, professor Christophe de Jaeger, one of world\u2019s leading experts in the field of human longevity and many others.

\n

Professor Georges Haddad stated that the cooperation between Megatrend and Sorbonne Universities would certainly contribute to improving the traditionally good France-Serbia relations.

\n

Jovanovi\u0107 and Haddad agreed for the cooperation to be in the field of organising joint basic academic and master studies, with reputable professors from Sorbonne holding lectures, whereby the students would get two diplomas after completing their studies, from Sorbonne University and Megatrend University.

Contract between the two universities is expected to be signed soon.

Prestigious Oxford University Press published the co-authored paper titled:\u201eOptimization strategies for the organization of mental health care\u201c. Megatrend Deputy Rector, prof. Mihajlo Rabrenovi\u0107, PhD, who is also the President of the Managing Board of the Institute of Virology, Vaccines and Sera Torlak, along with doctorand Peri\u0161a Simonovi\u0107, Assistant Director of Public Health Institute Batut and PhD Du\u0161an Cogoljevi\u0107, professor at the Faculty of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship, conducted a research, one part of which was published in Journal for Quality in Health Care. This journal ranks high on the SCI list, with the five-year impact factor of 2.356.

The goal of this research was to analyse current issues related to the optimization of organization of mental health care, obstacles encountered and strategies recommended to be applied. The paper bring arguments for and against organizing hospital treatment and it also considers the issue of protection of mental health from the aspect of improvement of the legal framework, as well as the introduction of new managing and economic concepts.

Challenging the diploma of basic studies of Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic, Megatrend University has seen the collapse of the reputation of an educational institution that has educated 28,000 young people in 30 years.

\n

This was stated today by the President of the Megatrend University Council Academician Ljubisa Rakic, and emphasized that it was unnecessary politicization, which harms the reputation of the University, higher education and the state.

\n

– I asked to see the documentation on Stefanovic’s study. Everything was done in accordance with the law then in force, and the University public could not object to it. The organization of teaching and examinations, the quality of teachers and the rest met all the universal principles of university teaching – says Academician Rakic.

\n

The Tanjug News Agency had an insight into Stefanovic’s student file, which shows that Stefanovic enrolled in Megatrend International Expert Consortium Limited in 1995 in the Business and Management department, as well as listening to lectures, taking exams and graduating. He took his college diploma in 2004.

The entire student file of Nebojsa Stefanovic, to whom the opposition disputes that he completed his basic studies but also listened to lectures and took exams, is in the archive of Megatrend. There are enrollment forms (\u0160V 20), examination applications, examination lists, register of enrolled and graduated students\u2026

– No one so far, not even those who dispute the completed basic studies to the Minister of Police, have asked for documentation. Tanjug’s crew is the first to address such a request, according to Megatrend.

At the time of Stefanovic’s study, Business and Management was the only study program, and the lecturers, according to Megatrend, were from universities from France, England and Germany, as well as distinguished professors from domestic state universities.

He was licensed from the then competent Federal Ministry for Foreign Economic Relations, which at that time was the only one competent to issue such permits – the educational institution said.

Megatrend’s archive shows that 1,054 students graduated from the study program Business and Management, and that classes were held at the Sava Center, because Megatrend did not have his own building at the time, but was renting space.

With the decision of the Serbian Government on August 29th, at the proposal of the line ministry, our professor Milivoje Pavlovic (FKM) was elected President of the Supervisory Board of the \u201cZavod za udzbenike\u201d, our oldest and most respected publisher of textbooks.

As announced in the Official Gazette, the Government has appointed a new committee as a whole, as well as a new v.d. the director of this public company.

Prof. dr. Pavlovic authored three textbooks in Serbian, and co-authored two textbooks in English (Lisbon and London).

He is a reviewer of the Institute for Textbooks and a reviewer of the Ministry of Education (ENIC program – certification of foreign documents on education).

\n", "content_text": " \nWith the decision of the Serbian Government on August 29th, at the proposal of the line ministry, our professor Milivoje Pavlovic (FKM) was elected President of the Supervisory Board of the \u201cZavod za udzbenike\u201d, our oldest and most respected publisher of textbooks.\n \nAs announced in the Official Gazette, the Government has appointed a new committee as a whole, as well as a new v.d. the director of this public company.\n \nProf. dr. The purpose of the meeting at Megatrend University was to present Chinese and Serbian culture and exchange experiences in the educational systems of the two countries.

On the first day, Chinese culture was presented to Megatrend University students and Chinese language students.

The next day, the world-renowned pianist, Prof. Nikola Rackov gave a lecture on “History and Tradition of Serbian Music”. The Perla Cultural and Art Society presented traditional Serbian circuits with their performance.

On behalf of the University, the guests were greeted by the Director of the Chinese Center, Milena Bokic, and, together with the Head of the Rector’s Office, Djordje Colovic, welcomed and hosted the Chinese delegation.
