RECOGNITIONS AND AWARDS OF THE RECTOR PROF. DR. MICA JOVANOVIC AND MEGATREND UNIVERSITY
Professor Mica Jovanovic has the title of “Grand Commander” of the British Order Fleur de Lys.
In 2002, Prof. Dr. Mica Jovanovic was awarded Golden Badge by the Cultural and Educational Association of Belgrade for the book titled “Intercultural Management”.
For excellent results in the field of business entrepreneurship, in educational projects and for his contribution to our socio-cultural environment in 2003 and 2004, he was officially nominated (2004 and 2005) for the “Businessperson of the Year” award – having, thus, positioned himself among the most successful businesspeople in the country.
In 2006, he received the “Zlatni beočug” (“Golden Ring”) award for his lasting contribution to the culture of Belgrade.
In 2007, he received the International Socrates Award in Oxford, for “the highest achievements in science, education and culture in the 20th century.”
Under auspices of the European Movement and the First European House, Prof. Dr. Mica Jovanovic was awarded the Best European Award for the year of 2007, for results in the field of science, culture and education.
Grenoble Ecole de Management (Grenoble School of Management) awarded Prof. Dr. Mica Jovanovic for pedagogical excellence of Megatrend University.
At the ceremony of awarding international recognitions organized under auspices of the European Assembly in Vienna, held on December 8, 2008, Megatrend University and Prof. Dr. Mica Jovanovic, its Rector, were awarded the prestigious European Quality Award in the field of education.
In 2009, Professor Jovanovic was elected an expert of the European Economic and Social Committee of the European Parliament in Brussels.
The Medal of the President of the Republic of Italy, Giorgio Napolitano, which is a high Italian recognition, was awarded to Prof. Dr. Mica Jovanovic in 2009 for his exceptional contribution to Euro-Atlantic integration.
In 2010, Prof. Dr. Mica Jovanovic, Rector of Megatrend University, was awarded Golden Badge by the Cultural and Educational Association of the Republic of Serbia for his contribution to the development of Serbian culture.
On November 11, 2010, Youth and Student Association of Serbia awarded Megatrend University a recognition of the best educational institution in Serbia in 2010.
In June 2011, prof. Dr. Mica Jovanovic was awarded the Manager of the Year Award, within the competition organized by the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, Faculty of Technical Science in Novi Sad, and “Media Invent”, Novi Sad.
On June 16, 2011, Prof. Dr. Mica Jovanovic was awarded the Captain Misa Anastasijevic Charter by Media Invent as the best manager of Belgrade in 2010.
Mediamax magazine named Professor Mica Jovanovic Person of the Year 2011 in the category of education without borders.
In June 2012, the European University awarded Prof. Dr. Mica Jovanovic, Rector of Megatrend University, the Charter for his contribution to the development of higher education in Serbia and Europe.
In 2012, Professor Jovanovic was the winner of the honorary doctorate (Doctoris Honoris Causa) from the prestigious Latin American University Universidad del Norte from Paraguay.
In February 2013, at the Cervantes Institute in Belgrade, Rector of Megatrend University, Prof. Dr. Mica Jovanovic, received the high decoration – Order of Civil Merit, awarded by the King of Spain Juan Carlos I of Bourbon.
In December 2015, the World Fudokan Federation awarded Prof. Dr. Mica Jovanovic the certificate of excellence for lifelong commitment to the spirit of Fudokan.
In early June 2017, on Brdo kod Kranja in the Republic of Slovenia, Professor Mica Jovanovic was awarded the high recognition “Ambassador of Knowledge” by Life Learning Academia for his great contribution to the development of higher education in Europe and worldwide.
In July 2017, John Nesbit University was awarded a Special Recognition in the competition for the Manager of the Year by the European Association of Managers from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Mica Jovanovic is a member of the Association of Writers of Serbia (since 2008).
Prof. Dr. Mica Jovanovic was also a member of the Executive Committee of the Eurasian Association for Management Studies with the seats in Tokyo and Berlin for two terms.
He is the President of the Research Laboratory for General Cosmology in Paris.
