The work of our renowned researcher of cultural flows, Jovan Janjic, “The Serbian Church in Communism”, which recently published “Vecernje Novosti”, has received markedly positive reviews from the expert public. This book was shortlisted for the Seal Prize for Science and Social Theory.
This is the text of a doctoral dissertation, recently defended at the FCM in front of a committee composed of: prof. Prof. Radomir N. Popović (Faculty of Theology), prof. Zoran Avramović, Ph.D. Milivoje Pavlović, PhD (mentor).
Jovan Janjic is a prolific publicist and scholar. He has published several books, including a study on the life and work of Patriarch Paul Let us be People, printed in large numbers in Serbian and in several foreign languages.
Otherwise, the “Seal” Prize for Science was awarded to the book by academician Vlad Strugar, “Yugoslav 1st December 1918”, whose reviewers were academicians Vasilije Krestić and Zoran Lakić, and our professor M. Pavlović.
